Thank you for visiting my Homepage, which is currently under constuction. My name is Sergey, and I originally come from Russia (St.Petersburg). Not a long time ago I've moved to Belgium to study at the VUB - Brussels Free University (free from what, by the way? - I haven't guessed yet), and, therefore, you can find me in Brussels now.

I was born in St.Petersburg (Piter, in short) on 26.02.1973 and lived in this beautiful city for more than 25 years. I graduated from the St.Petersburg State Technical University in 1996 with a MS degree in Applied Math and Physics (more specificly my field is Fluid Mechanics). After graduation I got a PhD student position at the same university, and after having worked there for 2 years, I was offered to go to the VUB to get my PhD in Belgium.
